  1. Kenzie, Lincoln, and I met again to go over our planning for the brochure. This time, instead of meeting up in the Avila lounge, Kenzie let us into one of the study areas in Featherman. It was a really nice room that gave us a lot of extra space to work. We started by reviewing the ideas we discussed in the last meeting and went over our rough draft of the brochure layout. Then, we organized the pictures we had already taken and decided on how many more pictures we needed for each panel and what they should be. We then spent the remainder of the time discussing our next steps for the project- who we knew that we could get quotes from, who would be responsible for taking certain pictures, and what we wanted to complete during the next class. It wasn’t a long meeting, but it was helpful in that it gave us a chance to reflect on what we had accomplished so far and also a time to plan for what we intended to work on in our next meeting. Overall, we had a nice time hanging out, and I think that we all feel pretty good about the place we are at right now for this project; however, there’s also still a bit more work that needs to get done before we will be ready to present our topic.

  2. Samantha, Phoebe, and I all met up on Monday to continue working. We discussed more about what kind of formatting and details we want to use on our brochure panels. We also finished Panel Two today. Due to time and schedule constraints, we were only able to meet once. Our project is progressing at a fantastic pace, and our brochure is well on its way to being complete.

  3. My group and I met on Sunday. We had to meet on Sunday, because other times did not work for all to meet on Monday or Tuesday before class. We decided to meet in the bottom floor of the library again because not a lot of people go there and we can focus on what we want to complete. We worked on Panel Two and Panel Six of our brochure and completed them. We added pictures, research, headers, and more. Overall, I am happy where my group and I are at and believe at the end our panel will look very nice.

  4. My group met this afternoon and talked over our next steps for this project. We had to reschedule our original meeting because of a time conflict, so we decided to just meet today after dinner. We worked on our brochure, continuing on the slides and making great progress. We completed panel two and six, and worked on the others. I emailed my psychology professor to find a time to meet so I can interview him. We plan to meet tomorrow so I can interview him. We brainstormed what questions I could ask him. I look forward to getting his perspective on civic engagement here at UNE, and what he has seen and done to participate in it. Overall, I am very happy with the progress my group has made up to this point, and I’m glad we met again today to add some necessary touches to our brochure.

  5. When my group met up on Friday during our usual class time, we started to plan how we want to format our brochure and what we wanted to put on each panel. While at the table we also planned out how we were going to get our other quotes and information from the staff and faculty at UNE. As a group we shared tons of photos that we all had taken on UNE’s campus since being here. Individually, I edited the photos and added them to our shared google document for later use. Right now, we are taking a pause on creating the panels on the brochure until we can ask the questions we have in class on Tuesday.

  6. Since I have still not heard back from either member in my group, I have continued working on a possible outline for the different topics. I added more details about where we could find images and what information we can included in the brochure itself, since we will have to concise with the number of words we put on it. I also went onto canva and created an actual layout for a brochure with broad details that aren’t specific to any theme, considering my group has not decided on a theme yet. I made the colors of the brochure specific to UNE to make it visually appealing. I also have specific parts of the brochure set aside to place the images that we eventually will take and put onto it. I plan to print out a copy of the outlined brochure that I have at the moment to make sure that everything lines up the way that it is supposed to, to prevent any misprints or confusion when we start building the brochure. Hopefully in class on Tuesday my group can connect and figure out what our theme will be, as well as when we can meet and make progress on this project.

  7. My group and I met up on friday during class time and created a shared google document. We added quotes and photos that we want to use and made a to-do list of what is still needed. On tueday morning I am meeting up with a faculty member in the Marine Science Center. I am going to tour a few labs and take pictures and potentially get a quote. We are also getting a quote from the office of reasurch and innovation to get some statistics on undergrad reasurch around campus. Overall I am feeling confident on our abilities and collaboration and I think this is going to come out amazing!

  8. My group and I haven’t really met but I have been working on some ideas and getting some pictures for the layout of our brochure. I was able to get some pictures on campus today as I was walking to the forum. I got to plan a little bit more of how my panel will look. Im hoping that in class tomorrow we will be able to get some of the panels together and info as well.

  9. we met in a featherman lounge and look at what we had so far. we put some pictures into the template. figured out what else we needed and who was going to get what from who. we had some good conversations about what is needed.

  10. my group and I have not met yet but we have still been texting, communicating and planning. We have at least two of the three interviews planned and are planning to get pictures done sometime soon.

  11. With my group still unable to meet before today’s class I continued on my own to brainstorm outlines for the project. Monday I had planned to interview my chemistry professor but he had to cancel because there was a lot of students present at his office hours that day so I’m planning on rescheduling for Wednesday.

  12. My group hasn’t really met, so I’ve been working on writing out information about sustainability and relating it back to my infromation from my interview. I’ve done some minor research and I am planing on doing some more later this week.

  13. When my group met on Friday during class to further plan our brochure we went to the research office and talked to one of the people who worked there for further information about UNE’s research opportunities. When we got back to class we worked on our brochure and added any additional parts that we had missed and then divided the work among ourselves.

  14. We mostly continued work on collecting content for the brochure, such as pictures of the important aspects of sustainability around the UNE campus. We met in a work room in Featherman Hall where we discussed what we had in the brochure and what we still needed to get. We spent a little bit of time collecting content for the writing and did some quick research together on how UNE is working to be sustainable.
