  1. My last two weeks of school have been good. I have recently started my job at the Forum and that has been going well. I was nervous on how I was going to balance school work and still getting hours to work, but it has been going better than I orginally thought. I still have time to go to the gym and get homework done as I am working. Classes have also been going well. This week I have had some interesting classes in Deviance and Crime and Forensic Eyewitness Interviews, we have been having guest speaks come in from Wells PD, and Biddeford PD. I also have been going to more club activities, like on Sunday I did paintball though outing club and that was a lot of fun. I am excited to go home this weekend, and see what has been going on at home. These last two weeks of school were good, and I feel more confident in myself with this college journey.

  2. The last two weeks as a college student were good. I’ve been getting a lot more work recently from my classes, however I have been able to stay on top of my work pretty well while also maintaining my grades. I have exams to prepare for soon so I have been spending some time studying. I have also been balancing the work I do with socializing and spending time with my friends. We usually try to go to meals together and also go to any home games/events during the week and then on weekends we also try to spend time together outside of campus. Life in the dorms are the same as they always have been. I’m still really close friends with my roommates and the people on our floor are still noisy. I don’t have too much anxiety about the semester right now. The only things I am ever really anxious about are exams and school work. However, I am pretty good at being on top of my work before it starts to overwhelm me.

  3. This week I went with my little cousins over the weekend to Old Orchard. My aunt wanted to go somewhere for the weekend and ended up close by, so she texted me that morning asking me if I wanted to stay the night at a hotel with them. I had a blast and we swam in the heated pool all morning. I truly had a blast and me and my uncle took a walk on the beach looking for sand dollars. We didn’t find any full ones but he loved hearing about all the cool sea creatures on the beach. I am excited for the long weekend as I get to see my dad and brother monday!! I think the 3 of us are going to go out for dinner with my boyfriend also and I am very excited. I also did a “crafts and taps” night with RA Taya from Feathy 4th floor. I live in Avila 1st so it was funny that I helped her plan it but it was amazing. We had mocktails, terrariums, tie dye, slime, embroidery station, and bracelets. I ran the tie dye and slime so I was a MESS all night and my hands are now stained. I don’t mind though it was SO much fun.

    Weeks 6/7 Reflection
The last couples of weeks have been pretty laid back and uneventful. I have not had any exams for a couple weeks, and I have been able to keep up with my homework easily. My roommate and I are still getting along well, which lets off a lot of stress, not having to worry about our relationship. I have a lot to look forward to with the next couple of weeks/weekends. My younger sister’s birthday is today (10/9), and mine is next week, (10/15). I’ll be going home this weekend to celebrate my sister and just spend time with my family, so I am excited for that. Since my birthday is in the middle of the week, I will not be going home for that, but my older sister and her boyfriend who live in Westbrook are taking me dinner somewhere. We are continuing to learn about different careers in pharmacy in my one pharmacy related class, which is getting me even more excited for pharmacy school and starting my career. I also have a job interview next week, and I am looking forward to keeping myself busy and getting off campus if I get the job. I think I only have one or two midterms, and I’m not too worried about them. Hopefully the next weeks go as smoothly as these ones have.

  5. I would say that the past 2 weeks as a college student has had its share of highs and lows. My classes have sometimes been a bit of a struggle. I feel like I am always assigned a lot of work outside of class, but then, after it’s all completed, there’s not really anything else to do. I have also completed the first set of exams for most of my classes, and while it was very stressful, I ended up doing better than I expected. The residence halls have become my new normal now, and recently, almost every day after my last class ends, I look forward to going back to my dorm and lying down on my bed. I have also been having a fun time with my friends going to campus events, like the fall festival last weekend, and watching movies together in the lounge. This term, I am excited to get more involved on campus, form more friendships, and also learn how to better balance my personal and academic responsibilities. Right now, my main concern is for my midterm exams coming up in a week or two. I am a little worried that I will feel extremely overwhelmed and struggle studying for them. However, I am proud of how I have managed my work in college so far, and I hope to continue learning, asking questions, and trying to be as successful as possible in my classes.

  6. The past two weeks haven’t been terrible. I have been enjoying hanging out with my friends and roommate (and her dog), and I like the majority of my classes. My friends from home are coming up this weekend, and I am excited about that. I am looking forward to my final project for Plagues and Populations, and that the weather is finally getting colder. I also started my job working at the Dining Hall, which has been going well. At this point in time, I am a little worried about my classes continuing to go well, but I think everything will be okay.

  7. Week 7 has been lovely! Things have seemed to slow down after having a few exams. I was happy with the results of those exams, which is very motivating. I’ve really enjoyed having less homework this week, it lined up well with the warm weather, so I’ve been spending lots of time outside. I’ve been going for lots of walks, around and off campus. I went to Ferry beach with my roommate, then we went to Portland and walked around. With the sun, warm weather, and lack of homework, it felt like it was summer again! We attempted to swim in the ocean, but it was so cold that it was painful. So, we admired the water from the safety of the sand. I don’t have any major anxieties at this point. I suppose the thought of finals is a bit daunting, but that’s weeks away, and stressing about it now isn’t beneficial. I’m enjoying college life as of right now, and I look forward to continuing to do so.

  8. The last two weeks as a college student has been pretty similar to the previous weeks. I am getting more used to the workload being given and have better learned how to study for exams so that I am actually learning and retaining the information. since I commute the drive is a little annoying sometimes but its not too bad and I am still on campus pretty often. Overall, I am liking the college experience and it has been so fun meeting new people and doing new things!

  9. the past 2 weeks have been fun I went home for the long weekend and I got to see some people had a sleepover. Featherman isn’t as loud at night as in the beginning I kind of miss it is was fun to hear the laughter that was outside my room. I still don’t like statistics and am still basically teaching myself. I missed a class and my teacher forgot to put the class notes inline so I am behind in that class even though I reached out before and she is giving me a hard time about it. I am excited because my field sites start in a week or two and I am in a kindergarten class.

  10. My past two weeks have been very good. When I was meeting with a professor, he told us about a cold-water training badge that you need to earn to do research on the boats in the winter. I do want to go do research on boats in winter, so I sent some emails and signed up for it. It was really cool, and I got to put on an immersion suit as well as learn how to make an improvised life jacket. I also did more normal things like classes and club things. MMA club was good as always, and I got to play in a frisbee tournament in Vermont, which was also very fun.
