  1. First post:
My week has been very good so far. Last week there was a fire alarm at 12:30 in the morning, so that wasn’t too fun, but we got to go into the woods for my bio lab, so that was good. I have some bigger projects for biology especially so that was unfortunate, and I later found out that I was doing more work than I needed to on the project, which was annoying, however, I did get to go home and help put up Halloween decorations over the weekend and into Monday, and it was very good to see my sister, parents, and cats again.

    Week 8 Reflection
Week eight was good! I did not have any exams this week, so I was able to relax and focus on getting a lot of work done. Since we did not have classes on Monday because of the holiday, I was able to stay at home for an extra day, which was nice. I also had my interview this week and I got the job, so I am excited to start that next week. I feel like I’ve had a lot of down time with nothing to do, so having a job will fill some of that empty space. My birthday was on Wednesday, so my boyfriend drove down to visit and we went out to dinner with my older sister. It was weird having my birthday away from home for the first time, but it was still a good day. My roommate and I are still doing good, and we both have been keeping busy with assignments and other things. Next Thursday I have my second exam in chemistry, so I know next week I will be spending a lot of time preparing for that. This weekend I’m going to stay in Portland with my boyfriend, so I am looking forward to that.

  3. Week 8 Reflection
This week has been kind of crazy when it comes to studying for midterms. Some classes I have I am not to worried about the midterms, I feel confident with them, and others not so much. I have also been getting more help when it comes to statistics. I have never been a math person, so it is frustrating taking this class. I know that when midterms are done and I feel more confident with statistics the future week will be better. Also this weekend, I am going to be doing some fun things. I still need to find fun things to do with friends and balance school work too. This Sunday, we are going to a pumpkin patch and a corn maze, so I am excited for that.

  4. My 8th week as a college student went well. I spent a lot of time with my friends which was great. I went to both hockey games and field hockey games over the long weekend. I enjoy watching sports and it was fun to spend time with my friends watching the games. I stayed on campus with a couple other friends but my roommates left. This left me completely alone in my room for the first time since moving in. It was pretty weird but it was nice to be able to have my own space. I also spent time studying for my exam this week. I have made a habit of studying and working in the commons with a friend. This forces me to get all of my work done, even if it takes longer than it would if I was in my room. I’ve realized that it’s nice to get out of the dorm to work every now and then.

  5. I would say that my week 8 as a college student went pretty well! I was really glad that we had a longer weekend and that I didn’t have to go to my chemistry lab on Monday, which was definitely a great way to start the week. At the beginning of the week, I found myself really wanting to go back home, but once I got back into the rhythm of college again, it was nice to be back on campus. This week was the start of midterms, and I had my second calculus exam on Thursday. I spent all day studying for it, and I also felt mostly confident about my answers, so I am really hoping for a good grade! I have more midterms to study for next week, but right now I am just trying to take things one day at a time so I don’t feel completely overwhelmed with work. Living in the residence halls has still been okay, but this week I have definitely found myself getting annoyed more easily with people, especially when they don’t take their clothes out of the washer/dryers. But apart from that, I would say that things are going well. I am a little nervous for my workload next week with more exams and projects, but I think that if I really take the time to work and study, then I should be okay. I am really glad that it’s the weekend and that I can relax, sleep in, hang out with my friends, and recharge before everything begins all over again.

  6. Overall my week went well. I had no real mid-terms and I am doing well in all of my classes, except math. I am struggling a lot and I do not know if I will be able to get a grade that makes the credits count for my major. Work has been going well and I have been going to pilaties. I am still struggling with my roommates and I think a move is going to be in my future. I am wicked stressed but still alive so thats good. I saw my nana, grampa, and aunt yesterday. We went to Old Orchard to see the ocean and walk around. It was super nice and I love seeing them. My dad and brother came up on Monday and we watched the storm surges on the beach which was awesome. My brother got his slide taken by the waves but got it back luckily. I am looking forward to halloween and my birthday next month so I can finally go home.

  7. Week 8 as a college student felt pretty similar to the previous weeks. The course work has stayed pretty similar and I have continued to keep up with the workload and have still been trying to learn new ways to study and use them for all my upcoming exams. I feel like I have a lot of upcoming tests and projects due but other than that it has not been bad.

  8. Everything is great, nothing to complain about. Midterms are definitely a study crunch time especially having to study around my practice/game schedule, but I have been figuring it out just fine. I’m looking forward to going home next month as it will be my first time being home since moving in on August 14.

  9. Overall my week was great! I didn’t have any exams which was really nice and relaxing. Im starting to get into a day to day routine which is really good and I’m feeling good about all my classes is also a plus.

  10. Week 8 was pretty good nothing has changed in the halls or in classes. Im still enjoying my classes and making time to do fun activities on campus. I am looking forward to seeing my parents and brother this weekend they are coming to watch my game and then I am spending the rest of the weekend with them.

  11. So far going into week 9 my classes are still tame content wise. Everyone was always so adamant that college was nothing like high school but I’ll the information being taught I already know so far from high school and the classes feel similar in structure. I thought college would be so much more challenging for the academic part specifically but I don’t feel pushed in my classes. I can feel my mental health getting worse like it always does this time of year, I’m struggling to get out of bed in the morning and finding motivation to just simply take care of myself but this time unlike back at home I don’t really have anyone to talk to. It feels like everyone found their groups so early on and connected instantly but I’m just being left behind.

  12. College has been ramping up in terms of stress for me. I’ve been having some issues with my roommate, and classes starting to increase in workload hasn’t helped. I’ve been enjoying going home for the weekend, and I can’t wait for Thanksgiving. I’ve been enjoying exploring various places around and near campus on daily walks.

  13. I really enjoyed week 8! I really enjoyed not having my busy Monday classes. I felt like I needed that extra time to catch up on some assignments. I’m really enjoying my classes. I’m having somewhat of a dilemma however. I’d like to take on a minor, but I can’t choose what I’d like to minor in. Currently I’m majoring in animal behavior, and because of that I’m in Psychology and Environmental. I’ve found quite the passion for both, leading me to wanting to minor in one. I’m still not 100% sure, but I feel that I’m slightly leaning towards a minor in psychology. Otherwise, I’m still happy with my performance thus far, and with college overall.

  14. I went camping and that was fun had my first field site visit and it was fire prevention week at the elementary school so I got to do that with them stressed about health and a little about homework but nothing really changed still don’t get much sleep.
