    Week 13 Reflection
At this point, all I have been thinking about is going home for thanksgiving break and then only have a week and a half before winter break. I’m really looking forward to being home for an extended period and spending time with family. Also, during winter break I will be working at my hometown summer job, and I’m super excited to see all my old coworkers and make some money before spring semester. As for this week, I registered for classes on Tuesday night, and it went really well. I got all of the classes and sections I was hoping for, and I am looking forward to starting them in the spring. I also had a chemistry exam this week, I feel okay about it. We are able to make corrections on one exam, and my first two I did very well on so I went into this third one knowing that it was ok if I didn’t do as well. This week dragged on quite a lot because I’m looking forward to going home next week. I plan to try and keep myself busy this weekend to make the time pass more quickly. Overall, it was a good week, even though not much happened.

  2. Journal #31
In the beginning of this week, I didn’t have much work. I was able to finally relax and watch some of my favorite movies. Towards the end of the week, I have had more homework to do. I am getting excited for thanksgiving break and to see some of my family. I am also trying to find scholarships to apply to for next school year. I am happy to go to break to see some of my friends from home. Overall, this week was not to crazy, nothing was to stressful this week.

  3. This week was a really slow week I had a few of my classes canceled so I was able to catch up on a lot of finals work that I wanted to get out of the way. I believe this week went slow because I know thanksgiving is coming up and I’m just so excited and can’t wait to go home to see my dogs and eat real homemade food. Classes this week went pretty well though I finished up my exams for unit three and am now preparing for my finals which I’ve already done three out of the five, the last two are sit down tests I’m just preparing myself for that after I come back from break. Other than that week thirteen has benn going pretty good just super slow.

  4. I would say that this week as a college student went pretty well! Break is now right around the corner, and every day it feels like a crunch to make a deadline in one or all of my classes. I am trying, and hoping, to get almost all of my work finished before next Wednesday so that I don’t have to stress and can allow myself to fully relax while I’m home for Thanksgiving. I am really looking forward to seeing my friends and family, and with that, I am very excited to be eating Thanksgiving food and homemade meals! This week, I also officially signed up for my Spring Semester classes. I was able to register a couple days early, and eventhough I felt like I was thoroughly prepared, I wasn’t expecting the Chemsirty class I wanted to get filled up so quickly to its full capacity; finding that out was pretty stressful because I had to frantically search for a new professor and class that would still fit into my schedule with the other classes I had already registered for. Thankfully, during this time, I was hanging out with my friends who had registered earlier the same day, and they were able to walk me through the process. I was disappointed I couldn’t get the professor I wanted, but then my roommate, who was in the same situation as I was, told me that more spots were going to open up soon. We both kept checking and refreshing the register website, and the next day, while I was doing my laundry, she ran in and told me spots for the professor we wanted had opened up. I have never dropped anything that I was doing so quickly in my life! I ran back to the dorm with her, and we both were able to sign up for the class and professor that we wanted for Gen Chem II. Now, I am very happy with my schedule, and I was able to get all of the classes I had planned for! So overall, while it was stressful at first, I am now at least really relieved that it’s over. This upcoming week, I am dreading a little thinking about trying to complete all of my work before break, but I think everything is going to work out fine in the end, and I am getting through by looking forward to going home and having a nice break that will hopefully be very fun and relaxing!

  5. Week 13 as a college student went pretty well and was overall a low stress week. I feel like the week actually went by really fast and I did not have any exams which was nice. The only thing that was a little stressful was trying to register for classes but I did end up getting into most of the classes that I wanted and am just on the waitlist for 2 of them. I am excited for thanksgiving break and it will be nice to not have to stress about school stuff for a little bit. Overall I would say it was a pretty good week and fairly low stress!

  6. Week 13 as a college student has been good! I had a chem exam this week so I did some last minute studying in the commons with my friends. On thursday, I went to the thanksgiving meal with my roommates and it was very nice. The food was pretty good and I enjoyed the meal with my friends. Later that night, I registeres for spring semester classes, and I was lucky enough to get all of my first choice classes. This was a huge relief because I had spent all week rearranging my schedule so I could be with my friends in classes together. On saturday, I went to the girls hockey game to support my friends on the team. Then, after the game, I did the cosmic skate while I waited for my friends on the team to be ready to go. After we left the forum, we all decied to hang out in my room for a couple ours and then decided to have a sleepover in another friend’s room. On sunday, we all went to target and tjmaxx together which was really fun. Overall, I was able to spend a lot of time with my friends this week and I had a great time.

  7. I got my first tattoo this week for my cat Tinkerbelle. I got a set of wings that is an important part of the animated Tinkerbelle movies from around 2009-2012. I named her Tink after the animated character not even realizing at the time that her personality greatly reflected the true original Tink from Peter Pan. If she does not get attention she will die. She is spunky and independent and too smart for her own good. She really is my whole world and I am so happy to get this tattoo for her. It was not as bad as I expected and I watched the whole thing. It was fascinating. The original lines hurt the most and going back over was not as bad which is the opposite from most people that I know. Overall it was a great week and I can’t wait for my next one, once I can afford it.

  8. reflection:
This week was pretty good everything has been pretty much the same. I did get to go back to my high school and watch their production of Charlie and the chocolate factory. It was a little emotional to go back and see all the memories and everyone who was still there and who came back. I got to talk to a lot of people that I knew from the elementary school that I helped out at and also some of the adults that I had good connections with from last couple years. the show was awesome it was sad to see some of the really talented kids that I knew who are graduating performing in the district one last time, but it was so worth going. after the show I got to catch up with some of the crew and actors that I couldn’t before and gave a bunch of hugs and told them that I couldn’t wait to see where they went. I stayed talking to people until 10pm and drove the hour back to school but it was so worth everything. the memories of my high school shows just all came flooding back and it was a lot. I wouldn’t change anything tho I got my experience and I’m glad they are getting theirs and I hope they get as many memories as I did from the whole process.

  9. I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving break not only for the food, but also to get away and see my family that I haven’t seen in awhile. We always drive down to Pennsylvania every year and have a big Thanksgiving meal with all of my family. Usually, I only see most of them on Thanksgiving, once a year, so I’m really looking forward to it. It’ll also be a great break from school to relax and be with the people I care about. I’m also looking forward to seeing how my classes are next semester and if I’ll need to change my schedule at all.

  10. For Week 13, all I’ve been able to think about is going home for Thanskgiving. Even though I’ve been home a lot before, this time it feels different cause I actually get to hang out with my family and other relatives for much longer. I also got parrotlets over the weekend, and I am so excited to meet them. I am also looking forward to dogsitting for my aunt. She has the sweetest elderly pitbull named Wilma, and a cute chocolate lab puppy named Veronica Coco (not my aunts choice).

  11. Week 13 Reflection:

It was kind of a weird week because a break is coming up and the classes are getting harder, but I’m also a bit burned out. I had Thanksgiving dinner this week on Thursday in the dining hall, and that was really nice. There was an extra pie that the dining hall had, so I got to take half a pie back with me, and I can’t wait to eat it. I also can’t wait for this weekend because my grandparents and uncle, and cousin are coming up, and we’re going to have some game tournaments as we typically do. We are also going to see the sound of music, which is being put on by my high school drama club, and that should be fun too.

  12. Week 13 as a college student was kind of stressful but I made it through. I had a biology exam this week that covered so much material that I actually properly studied for this exam, which I haven’t done in a while since I got here. I know studying for an exam the day before is a bad habit, which I am trying to break currently, but there’s something about studying on a short notice that makes me memorize the material quicker. Maybe it’s the dread of knowing that if I don’t succeed in studying efficiently I’ll likely fail, and failure isn’t an option that I consider. Anyways, I know more than I ever wanted to do about plants, invertebrates, and fungi. At least invertebrates are cool, mollusks are awesome and rotifers are like microscopic vaccuums. Fungi are less cool, and because I struggled when studying the parts and types of fungi, I basically engrained the information into my brain. I usually forget all the material I studied for exams the day after, but it’s been almost a week and I still remember the thallum of a mushroom.

  13. I’m definitely starting to feel that end-of-semester burn out! I’ve been finding it difficult to stay motivated. I’m really looking forward to both Thanksgiving break and winter break, I feel that I’m in need of a break from classes and that I need a visit home! I’ve also caught myself slacking in the academic bit of college, and doing way too much when it comes to the social aspects. I’ve been spending a lot of time with friends, which is of course fun, but not always good for my academic progress. I really look forward to switching my schedule up next semester. I’m very excited for the classes that I’m registered for!
